I have finished the body of the cardigan, up to the armpits, and one sleeve. The sleeve only took two evenings of knitting while watching Long Way Down with Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman.
As this is a seamless yoke cardigan, the stitches of the body and sleeve have been left on spare cables, minus the armpit stitches, so that when the second sleeve is done the three pieces will be united and the yoke knitted.
The ribbing was done on needles two sizes smaller. For the cuff, I cast on 4 fewer stitches and increased after the ribbing, for the bottom hem I cast on 8 fewer stitches and increased after the ribbing, so that it won’t stretch out and be annoyingly loose. I think my knitting gauge is a little tighter than my swatch, more like 16 rather than 15 stitches to the inch. Hopefully all will work out well.
