I published this in a hurry so I could post about it (and link to it) on Ravelry but now I’m going to add some words. It was our Sit ‘n’ Stitch this afternoon. Two other women were there and we enjoyed our knitting/crocheting and tea in the warm cafe.
This hat was made this afternoon. I used two strands of Vanna’s Choice (worsted weight acrylic) and an 8mm crochet hook so it went really fast. Then I walked up the main street downtown and gave this workman sculpture a new look. He has a hard hat on his knee and a toolbox by his feet. I think it really cheers him up – and the colours are seasonal too!
The hat went on a bit crooked but I wasn’t going to hang around long enough to straighten it as it’s a busy road and I just wanted to photograph it and go. What fun!
I love the idea of decorating the statues, and hopefully other items. I hope they are left in place for others to enjoy.
Ha, love it!
Hah, what a hoot!
