rusalka looking good

Standard

The photo doesn’t really do it justice but the majority of the first Rusalka mitt is done. Even though this is knitted on 2.25mm needles, it has progressed quite quickly, thanks to the surfeit of knitting time I’ve had this week, sitting in coffee shops with my friend while our children made pottery!

The yarn is working beautifully. The cotton/viscose has a nice sheen to it. There are little bridges of yarn between each finger so I learned a new technique there (every pair I have knit from Knitting New Mittens and Gloves has stretched my abilities a little more). This mitt just needs some bugle beads and a drawstring, which I’ll do before starting the second mitt. Probably not today as I really need to clean the house this afternoon and I’m out tonight, but I am impatient to add the beads.

Happy knitting!
