knitting moratorium

Standard

I haven’t knitted anything since I finished the pocketbook slippers a few days ago, and it seems to me that the ganglion cyst on my right inner wrist has shrunk already. I am still thinking about knitting, of course, and reading the Ravelry forums, and tonight I pottered about in my sewing room putting away lots of stuff that had accumulated on my sewing table. While vacuuming, I always tidy around, so any knitting/crochet stuff that was lying around the living room coffee table area was, this afternoon, carried downstairs and dumped in the sewing room.

Now the yarn, various crochet hooks and knitting needles, books, bags and other assorted crap have been cleared off the table and stored neatly.

I had an e-newsletter from Patons today. Is it just me, or do they seem to be going backwards? They’re talking about two new yarns as if they’re the latest fashion, but they look like fun fur to me, and fun fur was done and over a couple of years ago! (If you’re in any doubt about that, take a look at your local thrift store. If it’s like mine, they have a whole bin full of fun fur scarves.)

Take a look at these screenshots from my email today….

I know I won’t be buying either of these yarns!
