After my last post, the green baby earflap hat was properly finished with a little curly topper that I improvised. I like the way it looks. Tonight, I cast on for the baby blanket, but I have to say that this yarn tends to split and being a boucle is not the easiest stuff to work with. However I shall persevere. I’m knitting this like a huge dishcloth – cast on 3 stitches, increase at each end of every alternate row until I’m nearly at the end of the skein, then decrease back down with the second skein. Hopefully the long colour transition will not be a huge problem to deal with in the centre when switching to a new skein.
