The bunny blanket is going well. The Peter Rabbit chart that I found in my old Beatrix Potter knitting book has been duplicate stitched onto a plain grey background and I’m pleased with how it turned out.
I’m using Knitpicks Brava Worsted (again) in Dove Grey Heather for the background. The other colours are denim for Peter’s jacket, white for his tail, and possibly brindle for his fur. Black for embroidered extras. Once the central square was done, I started crocheting around with the dove grey – a round of single crochet, then a round of half doubles, then a round of doubles. Now my hands are tired and I want to go and watch Lost, season 6!
Next time I pick this up, I’ll start adding rounds in denim, brown, white, dark grey and finally black. It’ll probably be quite a small blanket but maybe a good size for a carseat.
This is for the same people for whom I made the mouse/cat toy. They have a black cat and a brown rabbit so I hope they like the references.
Eep! Too cute! I love Peter Rabbit.
Adorable!
~Have a lovely day!
Thank you š
Aww this is adorable! I must learn to knit like this! I’m still picking up the basics at the moment but I’d love to be able to make some thing like this!
Awwwwwww, i remember doing this same bunny on a little pink pinafore ages ago. I wonder if I still have the chart?
