New mat for the kitchen

Standard

I made a rag rug many years ago, crocheted with strips of gingham fabric. After suffering much abuse, living on my kitchen floor and being washed often, it has started to come apart. I have used 12 balls of the blue acrylic, which didn’t cost me a cent, to make this circular mat. It’s about 32 inches in diameter. I could easily have made it bigger as I have lots more of that yarn, but I’d had enough of it!

It’s just simple half double crochet with a chained and single crochet edging and I’m glad to see that it’s lying flat. It should be nice and cushy for my feet.
