A dishie towel

Standard

This is a small hand towel that I knitted for my kitchen, designed to loop around the oven door handle. Up until now, I’ve been using regular hand towels and they are always sliding off onto the floor. I looked at a few pattern photos on Ravelry and figured I didn’t need to follow a pattern.

At the same time that I was knitting the seed stitch, I was trying to memorise something by listening to it on my iPad and repeating it out loud – there is one mistake row where I knitted the knits instead of purling them, so a teeny bit of ribbing in there, but with the variegated yarn it’s really hard to see, unless you know to look for it!

The size is about 10 x 11.5 inches, not counting the tab.

  1. I like these dishie towels and have knit a few over the years. Wanted to let you know I’ve been using My Fitness Pal, thanks to your recommendation, and have lost a few pounds so far and feel much better for it.
