Garter swing coat

OK, I was up at 6, had a load of cherries picked before the sun was full on the garden, went out and did my errands before noon, and now I’m ready to cast on.

I drew out the schematic for the coat last night, did the math for the sleeve increases and body decreases, based on my gauge of 4.9sts/inch. No, it couldn’t just be a round 5sts, could it!

This is the pile of yarn which I hope will become a FO this time. I called in at the LYS to add six new colours to the greens and browns. Sky blue, turquoise, pink, dark red, light yellow and lavender. And the bonus was that this yarn, the Marks and Kattens Carolina acrylic DK, was on sale at $2.99 as it’s being discontinued. So if you’re in need of some of this yarn, head over to Kelowna Yarn and Needlecrafts on Kirschner ASAP! (Apparently Anne and Steven bought up boxes of the stuff!)

  1. well I might have headed down to kelowna yarn and needlecrafts, but it would be a bit hard seeing as I live on the Isle of Man, (inbetween England and Ireland UK) but I thought I’d leave a note to let you know that i’v enjoyed reading your stuff, and wish you all the luck in the world, p.s. can you give me some advise on how to hide my ever increasing pile of wool, i’m finding it very hard to hide it from my hubby nowadays lol.
