Before I pick up my knitting, I am here to say that I intend to work on the Garter Swing Coat EVERY DAY from now on, even if it’s just half a row. The trouble with putting something down is that you get out of the flow, and then start to wonder whether it’ll ever get done, and where you were when you put it down, etc etc.
I’ve cancelled today’s park walk. I woke up this morning all motivated to walk, had a pee, and discovered a rather unpleasant UTI. I ended up waiting outside the walk-in clinic in a chilly wind to be the first one through the door, and now I have a prescription for antibiotics. I am not one to take pills lightly, but UTIs can sometimes work their way up to the kidneys and cause bigger issues so I wanted to nip it in the bud.
The pain and the constant need to pee have already gone, but ds3 is still in bed, and it was his best friend whom we were meeting, and if he can’t be bothered to get to sleep at a decent time and wake up early enough to be ready to go out, then heck, I’m going to sit and knit this afternoon. Probably better that I rest, anyway.
There’s my commitment, then – knit on this project every day (and of course finish the socks and keep my temperature scarf up to date at the same time).
Hope you’re having a great day!
