These Armwarmers are made from my own pattern (see sidebar). This time I’m using Knitpicks Brava Worsted and 4.5 mm dpns because I want them a bit snugger. They are for a new friend with slim arms and I notice that when I wear the originals (which I have been doing a lot lately) they are a little baggy around my hand.
The “blending” of one colour into another is quite random. I think I like it. I hope my friend does. I lengthened the ribbing around the hand to cover more of the knuckles. I love wearing my old pair as I have some t shirts that have three quarter length sleeves and these cover my forearms beautifully. I even kept them on indoors last weekend when I had a short sleeved cardigan over a three quarter sleeve t shirt and I was chilly.
So, halfway there. One done, one to go. Planning to give these to the intended recipient early next week so must carry on knitting.
These are lovely and will be an appreciated gift.
I’m just knitting a pair of fingerless gloves for these chilly days.
When you do an update on your blog list, can you change my url to http://www.craftygardener.ca instead of the blogspot one which I left about a year ago. Thanks.
I think you should change your blog name from Nicola Knits, to Nicola the Knitting Machine! It won’t be too much longer until you have worked through all of your scrap yarn – you go girl! 🙂
