Steam blocking is just pinning out the piece of work on a flat surface (using rustproof pins and foam mats or a towel or bed) and passing a hot steam iron over the top, about an inch above the work. In the case of acrylic, you must never let the iron touch the yarn or it will melt. Be warned, if you do this you might ‘kill’ the acrylic which means it gets very drapey and will never spring back to the way it was before.
Ohk… Understood 🙂 Thank you so much for your kind reply to my silly doubt and sharing your knowledge! Thank you…
Oh! Steam blocking is new to me, can you please tell me about it?
Thanks & Regards,
