This is a free pattern that I found on Ravelry for the third in my collection of red lace shawls. It’s not too big, so hopefully it will be done within the time period of the Olympics. Why? Because this is my Lace Luge event in the Ravellenic Games on Ravelry, which means that I was able to cast on this morning. The opening ceremonies started at 8pm Sochi time, which means 8am my time.

Unfortunately I don’t have cable which means I will have to hope to find some coverage of the Games online. I really hope that all the stories about Russia’s unpreparedness and ineptness don’t spoil everything, because if I was an athlete expecting to perform at my peak, I certainly wouldn’t want to have problems to deal with regarding rest and nutrition and training.
