A while back I crocheted 16 random granny squares and today four of them have been converted into a hat. I slipstitch seamed four together in a ring then made the crown up as I went along, double crocheting and decreasing until I had what looked like a decent crown.

Then a round of single crochet around the brim, and a LOT of ends to weave in, and it was done.

The squares are about 4.5″ wide, so the hat is 18″ in circumference but it stretches enough to fit me. I will add this to my inventory for the crafters markets.
