I borrowed a book from the library, 100 Colorful Ripple Stitches to Crochet by Leonie Morgan.
It has some pretty patterns, both in the round and in rows. This one is called Ferris Wheel. It looks nice now that I’ve flattened it out on the sofa, but it was very wavy when I was working on it.
I am sure I won’t be making any more of this particular motif. It requires working into the horizontal strand behind the stitch and it’s too fiddly for me. But it was a colourful distraction from my current WIPS.
It IS very pretty, though, even if you weren’t too keen on the technique. I hope you do end up making more…
