I don’t feel my effort at these slippers does them justice. In fact, mine are positively ugly compared to the designer’s! However they are done and you know how much I love to change the status of a project to FINISHED!
I haven’t added buttons – I don’t think they are worthy of that. The yarn used was a vintage chunky acrylic (think scratchy) – Mary Maxim Cloudspun. Plus a few rounds of variegated Loops & Threads Charisma on the top edges.
Next time – and I think there will be a next time – I’ll make the feet a little longer but narrower. My rectangle was 7.5″ wide instead of 6. And my length was 9 instead of 10. Should have trusted the pattern, I guess.
And heck, I’m down to two WIPs now, so I think after a few rounds on the knitted cowl (and a yoga class) I will throw caution to the winds and bring out the yarn for the next afghan!
😉 living dangerously!
“I will throw caution to the winds and bring out the yarn for the next afghan! ”
I like the way you think. I’m feeling the need for a new cast on myself. 🙂
