I’m playing with a scarf today that’s based on the Apache Tears pattern on sarahlondon.wordpress.com.
I just made a long chain in black without counting, and as it turned out it was perfect for having 5 single crochets at each end, outside the treble stitches. Every row is worked in the back loop on the right side. You can choose how often to work the treble into the front loop three rows below – I’m doing it every tenth stitch. I’m also leaving a long strand each end to form a fringe. No weaving in required.
I did three black rows then started on the bright colours. All except the lime green are Loops & Threads Impeccable. The green is some old stuff, probably Sayelle or something similar.
This was fun to start while sitting have tea with a friend today and made a nice change from blanket squares.
I love the contrast of the bright colours against the black. And the pattern is lovely 🙂
Oooh…that’s really, really sharp!
