This pile of yarn is made up of various browns and a couple of creams, plus a super bulky earth toned variegated yarn. I’m calling this Mrs Brown’s cowl because of the colours – nothing to do with an actual person!
Not sure how that blue fuzz crept in to my photo. The cream rows are dcs separated with a chain one, because my plan is to weave the super bulky through those rows at the end.
The yarns include Knitpicks Brava worsted, Marks and Kattens Carolina, elann Limited Edition Micro Cotton and Loops & Threads Chunky. The cream could be anything. I’m making the cowl long enough to double around my neck (hopefully) and, although my intention is for it to be an infinity cowl, I’m working it flat.
Yesterday I sorted out my DK and worsted yarns so I can be ready for the next stash-busting project. Though first I need to make a teacosy as a gift.
Looking forward to seeing the result; especially the weaving of the bulky yarn. A clever idea! Hege
We’ll be needing cowls and scarfs soon. I’ve just finished another one. I’m also working on some boot toppers. Isn’t it amazing how you don’t see those things in photos when you are taking them and they show up when it gets to the computer.
