Not a very seasonal title, I know, but the colours of this bag feel very autumnal.
Don’t you agree?
I was playing around with that variegated ruffle yarn and a 6.5mm hook a few days ago. I started with a circle of sc using the whole width of the yarn, then continued around for a few rounds just catching the wide border and letting the ruffles do their thing. Surprisingly it worked and made what looked like a flower, so then I came up with the idea to make a bag for the flower (usually it’s the other way around, I’m sure)!
I had this Copper coloured Stylecraft Special Aran which coordinates perfectly, and single-crocheted a simple bag with a single round of dc/ch1 to weave a strand of the ruffle yarn through.
I haven’t come up with a decision on the handles/strap yet.
And I may line it, just for fun. It depends on what fabric remnants I have in my craft room.
We are having unseasonably warm temperatures this week, so after my chores yesterday I did a little sunbathing on the deck with a novel in hand. The novel was Emotionally Weird by Kate Atkinson. The story was rather weird, actually. Not sure I’d recommend it.
